| .: THE INTERCONTINENTAL RALLY 2012: Jan 30 - Feb 12 :. |
Intercontinental Rally 2012 is an internationally organized low-budget, long-way rally. It passes through two continents and it is geared to cater both for racers and adventurers, with 2 main classes, 2 contest categories in each main class and 6 vehicle categories in each and every contest category available.

The main contest classes are Full Range Rally and Lite Rally. They are both running together under the Intercontinental Rally 2012 event.
The Full Range Rally takes 14 days and it is running from Almeria (Spain, Europe) to Dakar (Senegal, Africa) between Jan 30 and Feb 12, 2012. The Lite Rally takes 6 days and it is running from Almeria (Spain, Europe) to Laayoune (Morocco Africa) between Jan 30 and Feb 4, 2012.
The both above described classes comprise two main contest categories:
The Race category is a type of a rally contest that makes you race through a number of GPS check-points in certain time limit. The Adventure category provides a more relaxed rally experience. You will be charged with various objectives that will let you explore the African landscape en route.
The particular routes are selected so that their character captivates the participants, leading them through miscellaneous parts of the European and African continents. The organizers of the Intercontinental Rally assure and ensure adequate medical and technical assistance en route as required. Not only does the race itself hold great importance (and potentially amazing experiences for the participants), but also it must be mentioned that the proceeds of the rally event shall be donated to charity. The humanitarian aid will be handed over to a selected project with the help and cooperation of the African Humanitarian Organizations like Senegali Office of UNICEF. The international organizing team is preparing the rally with maximum care, so that the race through the two continents will become one of the most wonderful and rewarding life-experiences.
